Looking for mod that redirects newly registered members to a designated welcome forum

Don't know if one exists here, this is the closest thing I could find:

It would be nice to have for my forum where once a new member registers he is directed to a designated welcome forum for registered members only where he can post a "hello" message and see who else is there.

Right now I'm doing it via the PM option, and may need to continue doing it this way unless somebody here is kind enough to point to where such a mod already exists if they've seen something like this before.

TIA

You really don't need a mod to obtain that desire. U can create their user group to view a certain forum for instance: New members waiting activation. Then they can send an admin a pm. Just create user group and the go to forum permissions under user group in ACP then click forum permissions and deny them rights to view everything except the new members forum. Once they are out of moderation then set them to whatever member group u desire and that will solve your prob. I actually have 2 forums like this one for trouble makers and one for new members awaiting moderation.
Very easy to do if u need some help pm me. No mod needed! Hope this helps!
