General Qs about Albums
 
I have a small private vB4.01SUite site and I can't find much info on Albums.

1. When a user uploads a photo, is it compressed by vB to save space, or is it uploaded as is?

2. Is it better to store the image in the database or as a file?

3. Can users add to their albums if the images are stored as files?

1. You set the max upload dimensions and size in the AdminCP, anything over that size is shrunk down to fit. However I don't think they are "compressed" to save further space.

2. File, though both have benefit/drawbacks, personally I feel the benefit of file system storage out weigh it's negatives.

3. Yes
