Item added to navbar doesn't appear on all pages

I added a popup menu on the navbar template, but it seems to only appear on some pages. Right now it's between "New Posts" and "Private Messages." It shows up when Forum is selected (except for when the user clicks on "Private Messages"), but the other tabs -- Home, Blog, What's New -- don't show it on the bar. Is there a different template that I should be adding my menu to?

When you add to the sub-menu, it is only added when that particular navtab is highlighted. So, yours will only show when Forum is highlighted and it sounds like you added it in such a way that it doesn't show on the PM page (that is actually a separate sub-menu for some reason).

I see, interesting. So I'll have to change a separate navbar template for each tab? They wouldn't happen to all conveniently contain "navbar" in their title so I can easily search for them, would they? :)

Not exactly. You notice how you click Forums and you get one submenu, you click Blogs and you get another, etc... well, all those are different submenus. So, if you want to add to a submenu, you need to add to that *particular* submenu or it won't show. The What's New and Forum submenus are in the navbar template. I think the Blogs and Home have a template for them. You can find the template by doing this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code.

Lynne... you freaking rock. That feature is phenomenally useful. Thanks (yet again) for saving the day. :)
