Fatal error: Call to a member function hide_errors() on a non-object
 

Some users of my products are getting this error in different situations.

Are we 'forced' to remove these:

$db->hide_errors();
===db query===
$db->show_errors();

from vB4 add-ons, or I'm missing something here?
