User Group access based on Profile Fields?
 

Is there a way to automatically give access to user groups based on a required custom question/answer in a users profile?

I have a political based forum and would like to give access to users upon registration. I don't have the time to give the permissions manually. I have created a required question on my test site were the users must identify themselves as: liberal, moderate, conservative. I have sections dedicated to these three groups with the same questions. Obviously the answers are very different, but don't want to allow other users with different views to post within these sections. There will also be a section for open debate, but I would like the other sections to be limited to these user groups.

I would also like to set up a free registration that would not have the ability to advertise banners in their signatures or blogs and a paid section that would have this ability.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I see several people viewed this post, but no one replied. It seems the below mod will work with 4.0 and will do exactly what I was wanting. Has anyone installed the mod below?
