Where do i place a java script i want run in header

I want to run this script, cause of problems with all pre ie8 versions.
got the code from http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...12(VS.85).aspx

and want to run it in header, so regardless which page the user enters,
they will always be checked, and then redirect to a style that works with
their brower..
