Huge SPAMMER! HELP?!?!!?
 

There's some guy/robot who is adding large quantities of members on my site then adding a homepage link and a link in the signature to some random advertising sites, sometimes related to porn. I deleted about 30 members today who had the biography of Man, but it now knows not to put Man in the biography. So I don't know what else to do!
I was using image verification, but I just heard of a program that allows you to send them a picture and they send it back to you with the letters for $8 per 1000 images. So I decided to change that to random questions like "What is the color of grass?" that I saw on another website. Cross your fingers that this works. If you end up ever having the same problems you may want to change the registration verification way in the admin cp.
If anyone has any other ideas that I could try out, please leave some comments below!

That method has always stopped 100% of the automated spammers for me, human spammers will still trickle through from time to time though, not much you can do about it.

The VBStopForumSpam mod that Charlie98902 mentioned is an ABSOLUTE MUST!!

Since I installed it one Month ago, not a single Spammer has succeeded in registering. Many have tried and failed! :)
