Post order is wierd...

when users are signed out the post order inside a tread is normal. opening post on top and posts going down under it. but when users are signed in its reverse...opening post on the bottom of the page and posts going up above it. How do i correct this so posts always go below the opening post???

Check the Settings > Forum Settings > thread Display Mode. Also, check to see what you have set for Thread Display Mod for new users in vboptions > Registration options

i dont see a thread display mode option in forum settings...

in registration options the thread mode display is set to "Linear Newest First"

I am talking about your Settings tab (used to be User CP).

Newest first means the new posts are shown first - the exact opposite of how it is shown here.

i changed it to linear oldest first but it hasnt solved the problem...

Lynne 01-18-2010 03:32 AM

So you changed the order in your User CP also and it is still showing wrong?

speedimpulse 01-18-2010 06:23 PM

yes ive changed it in user registration

In my last post, I didn't say in user registration, I said in your User CP or Settings > Forum Settings area - profile.php?do=editoptions

i went to setting>options>user registration options> and changed the default thread display mode to linear oldest first.

i cannot find this option anywhere else in the setting>options area. im running vB 4.0

No, I am not talking about in the admin cp. Go to your main forums and click on User CP, which is now called Settings in the upper right corner, on your site and then click on Forum Settings from the left column. The link is yoursite.com/profile.php?do=editoptions
