Redirects per usergroup
 

I want to create a conditional redirect
per usergroup

to send a FIRST login to a static html page.
...............................................

So usergroup1 logs in
and gets my statis html page - it has links on it to open the forumhome and the most important forums they need, + other stuff.

Usergroup2 logs in and gets a similar html page with stuff relevant to them.

Etc.

All my forumpages will have conditional usergroup links so each usergroup can return to their own static homepage whenever they need to consult its info.

I'm looking at both htaccess and php methods and would much appreciate help.

ALSO

If vb logs them out or they disconnect it could be annoying if their second/ third login takes them to the static homepage instead of back to where they were.

VB does return user to the page you were on so this needs to be protected.
That I have NO idea about!

Any advice welcomed.
