Generating forums through script
I'm trying to set up a script on my site to automatically create individual forums for each particular product that is added to the site instead of having to create them manually in the admin cp.
I have tried simply having it add a new row to the vb_forum table but that doesn't seem to work, it shows up no where on the board or in the admin cp, and I've tried copying the code from the admincp/forum.php file that seems to be related to the creating of forums and that ran into to many errors. Any other ideas or suggestions? |
Take a look at the vB Manual for data managers. I believe there is a data manager for the forums that exists for forums. That should give you a hand.
