Trending Topics like Twitter

This seems like a fairly easy idea that can be implemented using tags. Whatever tags are being used the most over the last x # of hours, x # of days, and over the last month can be listed out like you see on the Twitter.com homepage.

It would also be nice if you could exclude certain tags from being in the trending list.
