Installed Mods

I really hate to sound ignorant about this... but I just released a small mod yesterday and already have one install and three downloads but no comments... How can I check who's installed my mod? I keep looking around my UserCP and my mod page and can't seem to find anything. The Installed number is blue, but nonclickable.. So is there any way I can check, or...?

You can't. There is no way to see exactly who has installed your mods. I know I haven't gotten comments from everyone who does. Sometimes you have 10 installs and no comments and wonder who, but you can't check to see who they are, sorry.

That sucks. I keep seeing developers telling others "If you click Install, I'll help you." Now, after putting my mod up, I was wondering why those devs would say that and how they would know.

If they post in the thread, you can see in the postbit.

They are refering to people who've actually commented on the mod. As Paul said, the Developer can then see if a commenter has the mod marked as Installed or not. After all, why would you need to help somebody who hasn't asked for help yet?

Preemptive support is the latest in customer relations :) Whats better than fixing a problem for someone before they know they have it?
