Basic RSS Setup Help Please

Hi...I'm new to VB, i know the basics but im trying to setup an RSS feed to export to my wordpress site but i cant seem to figure it out. Can someone guve a crash coarse guide to setting it up? I turned RSS on in the RSS manager then i put this as the URL bu then what do i do?
http://forums.mysite.org/external.php?type-rss2
Now what? Where is the feed? Does it generate an XML file?

Thanks

type=rss2 not type-rss2

As for were does the feed go, if you are trying to import it into your wordpress site, then you will have to post for help doing that on a wordpress help forum.

does it just export it into an xml file? Where does the rss go wheres the link? Also is there anyway to make a RSS link that pulls from all forums instead of just selected ones?

I really don't know how to answer you. Maybe I don't understand what you are trying to do. I thought you just wanted to turn on the rss feed for your vbulletin boards so you could import the feed into your wordpress site. If so, you just turn it on and then the feed url is www.yoursite.com/external.php?type=rss2 and you would use that feed however you want on your wordpress site. You may want to read about this in the manual - External Data Provider

I think what he wants is an XML file.

www.yoursite.com/external.php?type=rss2 is a dynamically generated file and will appear as an XML file. Wordpress will read it as an XML document.

Do you need to make a new address for each forum? For instance in the feed manager it seems like one feed per forum you cant just do the whole catagory, so what would i name the other links? eg. =RSS2_forum2

Did you read the manual? It tells you how to do a feed for just one forum - forumids=x or several forums - forumids=x,y,z
