The home page is overloaded with images. Just the header image is 118.56 KB (121406 bytes) - the entire home page should not be any larger then 75kb - 100kb, and just the header image is that much.

The background image is 426.52 KB (436753 bytes)

Then you have a flash slide show?

I'am going to bet that the home page is close to 1 meg - if you get a lot of traffic, loading those images is going to bring your server to a crawl. And lets not forget dialup. It could take someone with dialup 3 - 5 minutes to load your home page.

The chatbox in the forums is HUGE - it takes up almost the entire screen.

Blue text on black background is never a good idea.
