Remove images from descriptions

I notice that on SHOWTHREAD that image links are in the META description for each page. Most search engines just skip over this, which is good but on facebook it is included. Is there a way to remove the image links from the description META?

The description is an unparsed view of the thread, I don't think its possible to remove any bbcodes from it.
