is it allowed to remove powered by Vbulletin from footer

I wonder i read smtg to delete powered by vbulletin writeup on the title area i wonder there seems there is two copyrights at vb 4.0 can we remove one like we can remove title?
see Powered by vBulletin™ Version 4.0.0 (can we remove this line or pay money for it?)
Copyright © 2010 vBulletin Solutions, Inc. All rights reserved. (this can stay no problem)
Also what about removing the hyper link only to vbulletin web site and just keeping it text message is it allowed?

If you purchase a Brand-Free license, you can remove it entirely.

Otherwise, nope.

At a minimum - It must read "Powered by vBulletin - Copyright © vBulletin Solutions, Inc. All rights reserved."

You can remove the version and link, but the rest has to remain as above.

Open a Support Ticket at vbulletin.com for confirmation.

actually, you have to buy the branding free license.

no need for a support ticket. check the FAQ's at vb.com

You don't have to buy branding free for version removal and link removal, as stated above, as long as the following is intact:

(In the past, I've made the footer font color the same color as the background. Shh...)

The only way for him to know for sure is to ask the question via Support Ticket.

NONE of the FAQ entries answer all his questions. If you think there is one that does, please do post it here, otherwise keep your false information to yourself.

You should read the FAQ again:

No. All copyright messages (both in the software code and templates) must be retained and visible.

A 'branding free' license is available at a cost of $170 per license, in addition to the cost of the license itself.

Once you have purchased this option, you will have the right to remove all references to vBulletin from the vBulletin design templates. Note this is for one license only and is in addition to the cost of the license.

Also please note that you must retain all copyright notices within the actual product programming code (these notices do not affect any visible vBulletin pages). Note also this does not allow you to rebrand the software with another name. It only allows you to remove the vBulletin copyright information.

The vBulletin branding-free license concerns the removal of visual branding. The branding-free package available from the members' area does not remove comments or variable names within the program code that mention vBulletin.

You may change the logo without purchasing this option.

For complete information, please read the vBulletin license agreement. If you require any further information please contact our sales team.

Yes, you are allowed to remove the hyperlink to vBulletin.com, you just have to keep the text.
