How can I configure the email user that vBulletin uses?

I'm having problems getting emails from vBulletin to actually arrive at their destinations.

Godaddy tells me that they can't see any problems and their outgoing server isn't blocking anything. They suggest that I change the user that vBulletin uses to send emails with.

Is it a vBulletin thing or an Apache thing? If it's a vBulletin thing, how do I configure the user that it's using to send emails with? If it's an Apache thing, does someone know how I can change that?

TIA,

Erik

The 1st one was delivered to hotmail, they accepted the msg, as stated by the 250 response, most likely in the spam folder.

Unfortunately who ever setup Postfix, did a piss poor job.

Is this a dedicated server?

It's a Virtual Dedicated server. It's a stock setup from Godaddy on Fedora 7.

The email address being sent to is my own. I did get the second one, the first one doesn't arrive anywhere, not even in the junk mail, but both log entries seem to show that the mail leaves my server and goes to the outside world.

I haven't configured postfix, normally I don't have to. Can you point me in a direction as to what changes should be made?

Im shocked that hotmail accepted either emails actually, but again you can blame both ends, the setup is incorrect for postfix, your dns, may also be incorrect, your hostname etc...

Again tho, hotmail claims to have accepted both, technically its not ur issue if hotmail states they accepted them both, it would be easier to fix if hotmail would of rejected them.

Not something that is easily fixed unless your very fluent in Linux and with setting those things above correctly.

Depending how gobabby setup postfix, you will need to edit main.cf and correct anything there, typically /etc/postfix/main.cf

find / -name main.cf -print
