Widget : Joke of the day

I have a thread full of small jokes. each posts contain single joke. Will it be possible to call that threads each single post as a Widget called Joke of the day?

I mean lets say first day it will show the first post of that thread and 2nd day will show the 2nd post and so on... single thread but each day showing single post from it.
