New usergroups I create are not allowing users to view forum

I've worked with vb for years and this is the first time that I've tried to create a usergroup and then assign members to that group and then they could not view the forum. I get a permissions error.

Code:

tester, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I set up the usergroup just fine I checked it and I also checked the forum permissions those were set to the defaults of the usergroups as it should be. Even when i made a change to those permissions it still did not show the forums to my users. I swear I think this copy of vb is possessed. I cannot think of why this is happening. Does anyone have any idea?

When you create new usergoups, do yo choose to use permissions based off another group? I find it easier that way.

Yeah I tried that it did not work, still no access. I thought about that myself. Normally I do not do it that way, but in this instance I tried what I could think of.

LOL
It should work :) I do it all the time.
After you hit the create new usergroup look at the very top, you'll see.

Yeah it works to create a usergroup but it does not work in this case to allow the usergroup to view the forum, there is some other problem that I cannot figure out.

Check forum permissions.

Did that as well, all are fine and as they should be. :(
