How to Unique Subdomain for each member?

Hi:
I want to have a unique subdomain for each member profile page. In the address bar, display username.example.com instead of www.example.com/forums/member.php?u=xxxxx

There is an article here talked about that, but seems like it's not working for the version 3.7+.
Here is the link for the article:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...ight=subdomain

The main difference is, in the article, it redirect http://www.example.com/member.php?username=xxxxxx
to http://username.example.com

While vbulletin version 3.7+ , member profile page address doesn't have username. It only shows the user number.

Is there a way to make it work? I see cghub.com made it, but I don't know how they did it.

Hope somebody knows.

Thanks

You could probably do it with [url=http://www.vbseo.com[/url], and the team there will more than likely be willngn to help.

You could of course, just ask the forum that's already done it!

I have no luck to get a hold of cghub owner and ask him/her how they did it. I am willing to make the subdomain project a paid task. Please let me know if anybody knows how to do that and want to make some extra cash.
Please give me a quote as well.

Thanks guys

hi Xiaoyuli

I think what u are asking will require you to actually edit your DNS zones and whatnot.
My only suggestion if you cant get vbseo team opr forums to help you is to visit this site
http://www.gitme.net/php/ and see if url2subdomain is of any use to you.

hope you get your problem sorted!

let me just add that google and other search engines will penalize you site for subdoamins if im correct.

Can somebody confirm this?

im thinking instead of subdomains,,

each user would get this -->
www.yoursite.link/username

and it would either show the users blog, or about me page..
