Creating a navbar dropdown within a dropdown?
Hi all, i know how to make a dropdown menu in the navbar and have many categories, however i have a list in a dropdown that extends beyond the fold, i also want to tidy my cluttered navbar, so i was thinking is there a way of having the categories in the dropdown each (if i want it to be) having a dropdown, so for arguments sake lets say i have all the letters of the alphabet as links on my navbar i would like to create a dropdown called "Alphabet" then have categories "A to F", "G", "H to K".....etc so A to F would be a category with another dropdown of links, G would be a normal link and H to K would be a dropdown of links.
Can that be done? vB 3.8.4 PL1 |
Anyone got any help or ideas for this?

Sure it can be done. I've seen scripts for it out there using javascript or dhtml. You just need to google it.

Yes i have a script for dhtml (fairly complicated) but i was hoping to use the native ones in vbulletin and so keeping the language/terms/phrases/controls all the same, the script i have means a total navbar replacement (all links) in order to get an expanded tree menu.

I do not know of one that had been shared here. I assume you have looked already, so I'm not sure what to suggest.

Thanks for your help Lynne, i've searched the internet for weeks now but found nothing vBulletin, i was hoping one of the vBulletin developers may have picked this up and made a suggestion, i'm a member at Wayne Luke's site and was hoping he would help but he closed his site a good few days ago until next year?
