Registration change
 

I want to change the registration form so that it asks them which house they wish to be in (My forum is Harry Potter themed).

Eg, If I select Gryffindor house, I will be automatically placed in this usergroup when I register/enrol.

You get the idea? How would I go about doing this setup?

You can probably use a User Profile Field to ask the question. But, then you would have to write some code to look at that field and add them to different usergroups based on what that field is. And then, if you allow them to change that field afterwards, you'd have to also write the script that moves them around if they change it.
