Blocking certain forum from specific gender
 

Hi,

It will be good to have a mod that prevent the opposite gender from accessing certain forums. This helps the guys/girls to share their own topic without the other gender intruding.

Hopefully someone mod this for v4!

It's an extra profile field that I add during registration.

I'm trying to wonder why would ou even wnt to do this. What's stopping the person from just making 2 acconts then 1 male and 1 female.

Yea, they can do so, but there is not much point in registering 2 accounts just to peeve at the opposite gender's forum. And when facebook connect add-on comes to VB4, this restriction will be more accurate I reckon.

Perhaps to make it easier, how can we hide the forum from being displayed for different gender?

what you did was make an extra profile field. Its not connected to any permissions systems. You're going to need a custom mod from scratch to do that (all your current male female selections will have to be redone)

can't a user just change his gender in the profile to access the excluded forums?

They can but why would they want to do that? Even if they do, after a while, they'll get sick of changing it here and there.

I hope someone can check out the link and see if they can make it work for V4
