New threads in a sub-forum?

I'm fairly new to this stuff and I searched, but didn't find the answer.

I have a photography forum kind of embedded in a bigger parenting forum. The girls who use the photography side want to know if there is way for them to search just the new threads in their subforum. Can anyone point me in the right direction or is this possible? Thank you!

In the upper right corner of the forum is a Search this Forum box.

Thanks, but can you show new threads that way? Like, if they clicked New Posts. That kind of thing?

Do you want to *search* the threads, or are you saying you just want a list of all the new threads in that forum only?

A list of the new threads in that subforum only. Sorry!

I don't know that you can just get a list of new threads in a forum without writing your own plugin to do it.

Oh lordy, I wouldn't even know where to begin. Haha! Thanks, I'll keep digging. :)

You know, they can always just sort the forum by First Post Date and then the threads will be in order of when they were created, not when the last post was made.

Yeah, that's not a bad idea.

They are just having to adjust joining with the parenting side and want things exactly like they were and I'm having a hard time finding a solution that will make them happy. Their subboard has a bunch of sections, too, so that's why they want to see all of them at once. Does that make sense? I really appreciate your helping me. :)

You don't have anyone on Staff to write code for you? They might be able to write a page for each mod that just shows the latest threads in the forums they are interested in. Just an idea.
