I think you can just get it by viewing the page source. Looks like:

HTML Code:

<span style="color:#000000;background:#000000;border:1px solid #FFFF00">{param}</span>
would work for the replacement.

thanks guys, i implemented them both.
one thing is if you use either one with links, the words that are linked to a url are shown. is there a way to not show them ? i know i can change link colors in admincp but that would change them for the whole site weather using spoilers or not, and that i don't want.

thanks,

Disable link bbcode for the forum?

Suiram 12-01-2009 08:09 AM

imagine that the sentence below, is hidden using the spoiler tags with links disabled. it would then look like:

blah blah blah [url=http://www.somesite.com]some site[url] blah blah blah

(i left out the / above, so this forum won't turn into a live link here)

so that would then look "crap".

It worked for me, links were hidden. This tag works just by setting the color, and you must have it set so that links have there own color settings. I can't think of any way to fix it, I guess it's just a limitation of doing it that way.

yes the links are "hidden" as such.
what i mean is because links are blue in color (and purple once visited) they will be seen/visible even within the spoiler tag. so if you want to spoil a link or text that contains a link or links, the text will be hidden under the black, but any link or links will be seen as blue on black.

understand ? if not, i'll show you a picture in my next reply.
