Ajax chat mod too intensive?
 
My apologies if this is not the correct forum for this question.

Running vb 3.8.4 with an Ajax powered Chat mod. Would running such a mod be too intensive on a shared hosting platform?

It depends on how many users would be in the chat and in the forum...

I had a shared host, and after some months(as my community get bigger and bigger) my hoster said that i have to move to a own server.

But wouldn't bandwidth play a major role too? Well I am on a VPS.
