I don't see the reason for it in a resource-based atmosphere. Paul and Lynne know their appreciated without some weird score.

I agree with s0lidgr0und and others.

Reputation, as a metric, is simply strange and artificial. We disabled it on our forums from the very beginning and have never had a request for it.

I hope vB.org never implements such a system. I can read a few posts from someone and, if necessarily quickly look at past posts, if I want to know about the quality of a members posts. (and if the person actually knows what they are talking about when they reply)

I wouldn't want to keep getting notifications every time someone gave me a rep. It's bad enough on another site when a simply thankyou in a post would have suffice or not.
