Hi all .

If you want your forums shows elegantly . you can put a background for every forum in FORUMHOME .

DEMO

Or see Attached image .

First you need to do this modification : https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=216937

Then On forumhome_forumbit_level2_post
Find in the second line
Code:

<td class="alt1Active" width="100%">
Replace it with :
Code:

<td background="images/$forum[forumid].jpg" align="center" width="100%">
Now design the backgrounds for your forums and name them by FORUM ID .

For example : My cars forum id is 21 . so the background will be "21.jpg"

upload your backgrounds to images/ directory .

That's all :D
Chaw .

Seriously there are so many posts on this forum asking how to do this, and this seems to be the thread where it is addressed. However this only works for VB 3.8 and I can't use it. Somebody please figure this out, I feel like this should be a standard feature...

merk_aus 03-18-2013 06:21 AM

is there a way to get around it without the need to install the other mod - I just want my categories to have a background I don't want to change the complete look of my site to vb4 if I wanted to really do that I would install vb4
