SIMPLE ajax live search-autocomplete

I need a simple ajax live search. It should just make suggestions of topic title by tipping 3 letters in the searchbox. if you click on one title it is just puttin the text of the title in the searchboxbar ... like at google for example.
that one is too big

How about starting with this: http://www.w3schools.com/ajax/ajax_example_suggest.asp and modifying it a little?

Sorry, I thought maybe if you knew a little Javascript and php you might be able to figure out the rest using that tutorial and example.

The same function is allready integrated in Vbulletin !! i saw it at the PN" receiver" if you put 3 letters in that textfield it shows you some possible names ...and if you click on a word its just puts the word into the search FIELD!

http://h.imagehost.org/view/0195/Unbenannt-1_7

can this function be used for normal search? that would be perfect!!

One of the IB guys (Anders?) actually has it working on one of the car sites. He has a youtube video showing it working also. It's pretty cool. I don't know if he released it or not though.
