How can I create a border around an avatar that looks similar to this:

Sorry for a late reply, didn't see this thread till now.

If you are using Photoshop, create a new layer and place the picture over the background. Draw a big square box so the borders come out the sides of the picture, then simply stroke the border. If this sounds complicated, I can make a video tutorial if you like.

Like what do you mean, putting a border around a specific image or all avatars.
