How to Automerge Double Posts

How do I auto-merge posts from the same user made in the same thread?

I have a particular thread where some users posts in it back to back to back and I would like to disallow that and auto-merge those posts

I guess the correct title should be How to Automerge Back to Back posts

I have never seen a modification that will automerge old posts.
