Subdomain Installation with 1 DB

We are looking for the correct vBulletin setup for the following. Perhaps someone can help us (even paid help is welcome).

We want 1 DB with all vBulletin Users and , Categories & Topics. See the attachment.

The home will have the latest topics from the different PARENT categories (notice that no all the subcategories are displayed).

Category 1 (parent) will be a URL like this domain.com/general.

The big challenge is that we want to use the other PARENT categories on on our subdomains. Meaning that when a visitor clicks on a sport topic from the home he she is directed to sport.domain.com/tennis/showthread.php?t=227630

There will also be a Sport Home page on sport.domain.com with ALL the categories.

Thanks, do i need to install vbadvance on domain.com or on the subdomains..?
