Threads awaiting moderation queue not working?

I probably have 100 threads in the admincp threads/posts awaiting moderation queue. I've tried approving them, saving them, deleting them, etc, yet they still remain in this queue.

What gives?

FYI, I'm running 3.6.9

Ok, here's the extra weird part. Many of these threads are approved already and were done so using the manager in the UserCP. However, they still appear in the admincp.

might be a modification installed that is causing it? Try disabling maybe?
