Incremental backup and restore

I was curious if there is a way to backup portions of the vb database based on date.
example: All posts made after a certain date.

Also, append ^ current posts ^ to an existing backup.

I ask because I have a functional backup of my board that is about a month old. The current system is all kinds of messed up, but I don't want to lose a months worth of posts.
