What about a script that will simply return hot topics and topics with 0 replies in a list like this:
°<a href="http://www.somesite.com/showthread.php?threadid=1">Thread title 1</a><br> °<a href="http://www.somesite.com/showthread.php?threadid=2">Thread title 2</a><br> °<a href="http://www.somesite.com/showthread.php?threadid=3">Thread title 3</a><br> And in the same breath be able to output a listing of all forums with their names and a link to them (also for use on homepage) I used to have this for ubb so that I could display hot topics and dead topics on the homepage. Anyone think they know enough about the vb databse structure to do this? ~Chris http://www.extremeforums.com |
Expect to get your ass flamed for the [REQUEST]. Brackets are only sposed to go around [RELEASE]
I don't think what you want would be too terribly difficult to do, in fact you could prolly adapt shri's Active Threads topic quite easily to do it. |
LOL! I was unaware of the rules here at vbulletin.com..feel free to modify the topic as you see fit
Thanks ~Chris |
Not rule, just an annoyance. :)
I'll throw some code together tomorrow probably - don't feel like looking around the tables to find what I need now. |
could you Ed :D ... cause i mean i can't seem to get wanderer's Active topic hack to work with /forums/ directory only /forum directory so all my threads are redirected to my frontpage (404 redirects) :(
