How do I change my Webmaster Email Name?

For example when I put noreply@website.com in my webmaster email address
A user register and get a mail from this email however the name of the sender is _
I tried to change the name from the email to something else but it still shows _ (noreply@website.com)

How can I change the _ name?

Go to "admin CP" and then click "Vb Options" and find "Site Name / URL / Contact Details" and go to "Webmaster's Email" change and save :)

Yes I am able to change the webmaster email no problem
the problem I encounter is for example if I put noreply@website.com

the email will send it from "_ (noreply@website.com)"

_ = the name
noreply@website.com = the email

How to change the name?

How can I fix this??? helppppp

If you use a noreply@ email for this, when they use the "Contact Us" section at the bottom of the page, they will be unable to get in contact with anyone and their emails will go unanswered.

The name that is sent is the "Forum Name" that you set in the options.

i have this same question. i imagine ill have to find that code that sends the mail and include the name as an header extra option that they pass to the mail() function in PHP

For me what Jedric said is true- the "from" name is the name of my forums in vbulletin options.

phreebsd 09-09-2010 02:40 PM

but on the actual email what does it say as from?
the name? mine is just _
the email is proper its the name property that has the _
