Help switching

I don't have the files from my FTP because my hosting got suspended, I'm now switching to a new host and I have the .sql file from my vBulletin Administration Panel in the Maintenance section.

How would I go about getting my posts, threads, users, etc. back?
Is it possible to get all that back without downloading my previous ftp files from my old forum?

Because there is no way the host will let me get my files.

You can download the files from the members area over on vb.com. However, if you modified the files in anyway, like for a modification, you will have to reapply those edits.

If you have a full database backup, then look at these pages in the manual:
Backing Up The Database via SSH/Telnet or
Backing Up The Database via phpMyAdmin

Restoring The Database via SSH/Telnet or
Restoring The Database via phpMyAdmin

If you don't have shell access, some people have also reported success with these scripts:
MySQLDumper
MySQLHotxcopy
Bigdump

All i have is the sql file from the ACP in maintenance section....
Is that what gives me all my members and posts?

If the sql file is the full backup of the database, then yes, that is what gives you your members and posts.

Alright cool, I hit yes on all the radio buttons.

Webbased (PHP) backups like from the AdminCP are only reliable for very small databases. Best is always to make a backup of your database using 1 of hte methods described by Lynne above.
