VBulletin with store/products

We are developing a site based on Vbulletin that will be selling physical products, which come with membership to Vbulletin website. I know Vbulletin has a storefront, but it really is for subscriptions, and doesn’t lend itself to physical products requiring photos and gathering shipping addresses, etc.

Is there a solution anyone would recommend, that would combine Vbulletin as main website, with a “real” storefront, and even merchant status (or 3rd party solution), and where logged in member (if existing member) can go to store and membership info is already there. All with single login? (Maybe XCart and AMember?)

Or should we just modify subscription area to allow photos of products? (We have older version of VBulletin on undeveloped site sitting unused...do we need to upgrade to v4? Is V4 subscription area nicer? Perhaps photos allowed?)

Thanks.

There are a number of solutions in terms of using a points systems, there's one or two commercial products, and there's a load of dedicated developers that can assist you in getting one made specifically for your website ;)

The choice is yours.

philiclese,

PS Pre-Sales questions regarding vB4 should be asked on the forums at vBulletin.com.

You state that you already have vBulletin installed so the rest of your questions are not pre sales but should be asked in the appropriate forums once you have confirmed your license status.

You are currently showing up as unlicensed.

To be able to download modifications and/or receive support here at vBulletin.org, we ask you to please click here (vB-Germany users click here, vB-Chinese users click here) and enter your email address. You will need to use your customer number and password (which will be in the email you got when you paid for your license) to access that page. Please note that your email is case sensitive.

To protect our customers privacy you will also need to Opt-In to license validation for all Support Sites. You must authorise vBulletin.org in order to validate your license status here. You can do this at the page linked above for your distributor. Make sure to set the permission to allow vBulletin.org to validate your status.

The update of your account can take up to one hour.

Thank you.
