How to add a Facebook Field...
 
Hi All,

I'm looking for a Simple way to add a Facebook field to my memebers Profile and thread posts...is there a mod i can add add to products???


Please help (the few that i've come across on the mod page are either unsupported or require alot of code manipulation)

PLEASE HELP!!!!:confused:

James what i meant was this-

You see where the fieds are empty that allow for Skype, AIM and yahoo messenger user imput?......Well i would like to create one forfacebook and twitter and add a logo there as well ..and then have it show up on where they post with their names...

Any Ideas ?????

For the twitter idea, check vb.org for "Engage twitter".

Then rewrite the xml file for the profile field for FaceBook (and leave out the twitter module in the profile).

I might get you up to speed tomorrow. One of my users requested somethingsimilar for facebook. If you don't manage to pull it off, I'll prolly get it done soon enough.

on the right track with this!

BUT

Since my forum is primarily for an older type crowd - really would need a facebook field -

I don't know the first thing about rewriting xml files! If Please advise if you find success in doing this.
