Simple Textbox on the homepage
 

Hello everyone,

i am looking for a mod or hack that will enable me to add a text box (HMTL code possibility) on my front page of the forum. I have just set this forum up today http://www.stakeholderforum.com and I want to provide visitors with a textfield that they see when they visit the main page. Not on all pages but just the main index page.

Any ideas where I can find this?

Why not use a Notice?

Can a notice be displayed on the index page on top of all forums?

The index page is different than the top of all forums. The index page is index.php, the forums pages are at forumdisplay.php. You may post a notice at the top of any forum - or set it up to be at the top of all the forums. Take a look at the options available in your admin cp.

Thanks. I have already done that and put up an announcement actually. I have seen a hack about a year ago when I used 3.6 but I cant find it now that I have my new forum up.

Well, you can always just edit your FORUMHOME template and add the text in there.
