how to make members into mini-moderators ?

Anybody know if theres a mod out so that whenever one of my Senior Members (senior member usergroup) reports a post, that it'll automatically get soft deleted ?

My moderators must be drunk or something... a lot of times it'll be 12 hours and spam posts will still be up there.

meanwhile, my senior members are very good at reporting posts.

I dont think so, you just might need night time moderators.

No such thing exists, and I doubt your Senior Members would really want to be moderators. They might leave if they find out that they are mini-moderators.

Moderators are chosen for their valuable assets to a community, helping others, contributing well and following all rules in the community.

Moderators are NOT chosen just because they report a post, or anything like that. If that was the case, you'd have far too many staff to end up killing the forum.

I personally wouldn't do this, as your senior members could just report every post they didn't like and have it deleted (they'd notice it was getting auto-deleted soon enough!).

But, it's not my opinion we're here to discuss.
You'd need to take a look at the soft delete function really, then edit the report submit to replicate the soft delete function for your specified usergroup.

My Senior Members (individually chosen) are mostly all members that have been around for 5 years or longer.

All they have to do is Report the post and it would be soft deleted. Their all good guys. A lot of times Moderators just cant be everywhere all the time.. its not like their getting paid or anything.

Somebody should really start working on this Mod. It doesnt seem all that hard to incorporate..and i'd definately nominate it for Mod of the Month. Im shocked something similar isnt available yet.
