Embedding video from URL

I've had a browse through the threads here and I can't seem to find one I'm looking for. Say I've uploaded a video into my host server with an MP4 extension and I want to embed the link of that video into a post in my forum. Is there a mod that will allow me to do that? The mods here seem to embed videos from external hosts unless I've misread them ...
