Custom userfield.
 

I've got a board I'm wanting to add a field under the (Join/location/posts) field. This would be a field that would be equivalent to the user title.

How would I do this?

I've attached an image as an example of where I'd like to put it.

That would be a postbit modification I think. You would need a plugin designed for that. On my site I personally use vbgooglemapme and just have a link to that person's vbgooglemapme page.

Yep, I've confirmed with the template person where to be the bit here's what I'm not sure how to do.

1 - Create a custom user field, although I believe that I use User Profile Field and add a new one.

2 - How do I turn that into a method to put it into my post-bit template?

Essentially, what I'm trying to do have a user choose a custom icon, then place that icon under the #of posts ($vbphrase[posts]: $post[posts]), but I don't know how to create a reference to that custom field in a manner that will display it in the post bit.

If you do a search on "profile" or "postbit" in "artilces" "titles only", you'll find an article on how to add User Profile Fields to your postbit template.
