Is there a Mod to change username display without changing log in
 

Hello all, i hope im in the right section.. I tried searchng for this and got no luck, but is there a mod out there that allows an admin to change how the person username displays on the forum but not making them have to log in with that new name.. SMF bulletin board has this feature. Like VB, if you change someone username, you have to let them know so they can use it to log in for now on. The one is SMF keeps the log in but allows you to change the way the username displays on the forum. Is there a mod for this b/c it would go great on my forum where i am adding tags to ppl names when they join.

There is no mod to do this. Changing a username means that that user has to log in with that name. You are essentially changing the users credentials to log in.

damn thats def a mod someone should make. add an extra field to the admin user profile edit page where you can change the display name
