Turn off 'last post' in forumhome ?
 

I was told on .com to check here at .org about this :

Is there a way to NOT show the last post "by: username <date below>" from the Last Post column in forum home ?

I wish to have thread only shown there. (I'm trying to tighted up the forumhome listing vertically a bit)

I listed all options, searched for "last post" but couldn't find any toggle to turn it off. ( ? )

You would have to edit your templates to take it out.

To find the template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source.

I think I have seen tutorials on vb.com on how to move the Last Post column. You can probably read that and remove the column instead of moving it.

One quick and dirty way is to edit the template

forumhome_lastpostby

find and remove this code.........

remember to save in history for future reference.

Thanks both for your replies! Hehe, I forgot to save in history and that I was really screwed, but luckily there's a "show default" link that got me the original back. 'Turns out my forum icons are holding the rows spaced out still so I'll have to work on resizing those when I have more time.
