How do members close their account?
 

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but I've been looking for ages. How do members close their account if they're moving on from the forum? I can't see an option anywhere.

There is no option of that nature.

There is no option. They can simply not log in. Or, they can send a message to the admin asking to have their account deleted assuming the admin will delete accounts (some admins won't delete accounts).

What do you mean by close it?
What do you expect to achieve when a user "closes" an account? Deletion? Locked out?

We flatly refuse to delete accounts.

I get asked once a month at least , when a member throws their toy out the pram ... DELETE my account

We refuse, and refer them to forum rulings.

Within a week or so, they are back again, happily posting.
