enable additional user info

hey,
i want registered users to see the additional information of the username they click while browsing forum. That is if i click on any user name, and im logged in, than i must be able to see addition info of that user like:

location, name, interest, hobbies, albums, email, url , phone number etc whatever he has mentioned on the vbulletin.

Any help???

This is determined by profile privacy (User CP -> Profile Privacy) and it's set per user not an admin function.

Thanks james for the reply... but my client want this control to be in his hand through admin panel... that he can make it so that if he make it viewable then all details are viewable to all registered users...

Please reply

You can actually turn off the Profile Privacy (vboptions > user profile options) and then the whole page is viewable by any usergroup where they are allowed to see Member Info.

What exactly hae you done? Have you checked the usergroup settings? And are these profile fields you want them to see? You really aren't giving that much useful information to us to help.

Ok leme put it this way....
What is desired?
Answer: They way you can click on any username on this forum and you can see each and every information of that user, no matter he has set permission or set and privacy policy.

What is not desired?
Answer: I updated my profile on the forum i have on my live site, when i log into from any other account i can not see the complete information.

Say I 'Mr. A' has entered information like biography, contact info, interests etc..
and 'Mr. B' user of the forum, came and visited 'Mr. A' profile. All he can see is wysiwyg editor and mini statistics etc.

There is no where info viewable wht 'Mr. A' has set that ie, his biography, contact info etc.

Is it cleared or still confusing???

Images, or links to pages, really really help.

Usergroup Manager - what is set on Can View Member Info? That must be set to Yes if you want that usergroup to be able to view other profile pages. And, what about under Can View Private Custom Fields? What is that set to?

Again, are these User Profile Fields you are talking about? If so, check the settings for each field. Maybe it is set to Private and Can View Private Custom Fields (mentioned above) is set to No . And, do you have them set to display on Edit Your Details?

saji09 09-15-2009 02:58 PM

its viewable and every permission is set to 'view' in usergroup, in custom field option in each and every point...

do you want me to send you the url of my site, so that you can easily figure out what im talking about ?

I can give you demo login credential to check and test things if you want to

In the Profile Field Manager, what do you have set for Display Page? An image of your settings would help here. A link to a profile page might help. It's very hard to tell what is going on just from what you are saying.
