Thread Status Mod?

I'm not sure if this is a vb option on the back end, another product or vb modification. I've seen sites where each thread has a thread status for questions areas, e.g. answered/unanswered. I'm pretty sure it was VB. It was neat because you could see in the list of threads what questions were answered and what weren't. Perhaps it wasn't vb? Maybe it was another forum?

slinky,

You are currently showing up as unlicensed.

To be able to download modifications and/or receive support here at vBulletin.org, we ask you to please click here (vB-Germany users click here, vB-Chinese users click here) and enter your email address. You will need to use your customer number and password (which will be in the email you got when you paid for your license) to access that page. Please note that your email is case sensitive.

To protect our customers privacy you will also need to Opt-In to license validation for all Support Sites. You must authorise vBulletin.org in order to validate your license status here. You can do this at the page linked above for your distributor. Make sure to set the permission to allow vBulletin.org to validate your status.

The update of your account can take up to one hour.

Thank you.

This may seem like a stupid question (mainly directed at staff) but if you are required to have a valid license and/or be put on someone else's license in order to register - how can a member show up as unlicensed?
Is it when the license expires that they show up as unlicensed?

Yes. Or, they change their email address so it doesn't match the one associated with their license.

Then put that information in the edit email and password part of the control panel instead of banning a user who finds out after he does something as innocuous as changing his or her email address!!!!!

Or read all the fine print on a site before !!!!! their methods

Also it is an option on vBulletin.com to have access here, so you need to check your account or the primary account holder to confirm your email was added. Sometimes it takes more than one error, grab a beer and come back later.

:erm:

You were never banned, only limited in the forums you were allowed to post in. Changing the email back and getting it reverified from vb.com shouldn't take longer than one hour (I think that is how often the cron job runs). We mods only see that you are no longer licensed - we have no idea of how that came to be.

I realized the hour thing and thought cron afterwards. As I said elsewhere, shorten the message and keep it simpler. ;)

Thanks for clearing that up Lynne.
