Really want vbSEO but debating whether to wait for VB4
I would really like vbSEO to help out my forum a bit, but I'm debating whether or not to hold off until VB4. vbSEO seems like its great, a bit expensive, but seems like it is worth it...not if VB4 is coming out soon though.
Any suggestions? In reality, when should we expect VB4 to be released? Thanks. |
Nobody knows when vB4 will be released. When there is information about this, it will be posted over on vbulletin.com. I can tell you that it is in alpha testing right now. And, it will have to go through beta testing also before it is released.

Thanks for the response Lynne. That's what I was thinking. I would imagine it will probably be sometime early next year. As far as vbSEO...is it worth it?

My opinion - there are so many factors that determine where a site ranks in the results pages, that long tail keywords is not going to make "that" big of a difference. Besides the keyword urls, the one thing I do recommend is the vbseo sitemap generator. I highly recommend that before you spend the money for the other add-ons. |
Thanks for the response and info kevcj. I'm thinking I'll download one of the free url re-write mods and the vbseo sitemap generator since they are free, and give them a try for now.

Moved out of the Community Lounge since vBulletin discussions really belong in the General vBulletin Discussions forum.

VBSEO Isnt magic, it did nothing for me.

Looks to me like you have a well established community with lots of visitors.
In this case I'd wait to see what vBulletin 4 can do for you. That will cost you nothing. |
