ive changed my second cell color so it's a little grey

which is gine but now in posts you get the grey and then a big white block where the sig is

how can i change the sig bit to the same grey?

You have your signature i a column (<td>) with a class of alt2. Your post is class alt1. So, modify the class for the signature column to be class alt1 also.
